FAQs
-
Permanent makeup is great for anyone who wants a natural enhancement, has sparse, thin, or uneven brows. It’s especially helpful for those looking to save time on daily makeup application and money on eyebrow products. It’s great for those with allergies to traditional makeup or those who have active lifestyles and don’t want to worry about sweating off or reapplying brow products. Anyone in good general health who can properly heal from minor skin injuries may be a candidate. A consultation will confirm suitability.

For brows, gently blot the area with a clean tissue or damp cotton pad every few hours to remove lymph fluid for the first 6 hours. This helps prevent heavy scabbing. Not everyone will experience this. For both brows and lips, keep the area clean and dry for 12 hours after the procedure. Healing ointment (A&D or aquaphor) is okay to apply in a thin layer. After eating or drinking it’s best to wash your lips with mild soap and water and pat dry. For the first 24 hours after lip blushing, do not bite directly into foods as that can burn or introduce bacteria into the healing skin. Use a fork, spoon, and straw during meals. Avoid touching the area with unwashed hands. Do not pick, rub, or scratch any scabs or flaking skin, this can cause pigment loss or scarring. Avoid heavy sweating, saunas, swimming pools, steam rooms, and sun exposure for at least 7–10 days. Do not apply products (besides healing ointments) onto the treated area for about 1 week. Do not use exfoliating products or active ingredients (such as retinol, AHAs, BHAs, or vitamin C) near the area for at least 2 weeks. This can dry out and irritate the area. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your lips or brows, please reach out directly to Aireal.
Healing Timeline:
